Our Story

Over the Years

^
2003

Founded

Opened in January of 2003 by Ken & Susan Richman, Ripple Bagel & Deli is based on the original Bagel & Deli located at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio which has been a major attraction for over four decades. The idea for the deli came from their oldest daughter Maret, both a Miami alum and a huge Bagel & Deli fan!

Family Purchased Deli

Ripple Bagel & Deli really has always been family owned and operated from the very beginning and continues to be to this day. Several of Ken and Susan’s granddaughters have worked or still work at the deli and in 2019 their youngest daughter Ginny and her husband Todd moved back home from Chicago to both manage and buy the deli. So while it is in the process of changing hands, it is remaining in the family!

Online Ordering Begins

Ripple Bagel & Deli continues to refine our business to meet and exceed customer expectations and takes pride in our ability to satisfy all of your dine in or catering needs. We have been excited to offer online ordering since 2020 which was done in response to the pandemic and now offers a convenient way to both order and pay for your food ahead of time, allowing you to bypass the line and receive a text message once your order is ready.

We thank our loyal customers for their continued support and are fully aware that it is the customers that have allowed for our success and made the deli such a great experience. Our sandwiches come steamed and trust us . . . you haven’t lived until you’ve had it steamed! We pride ourselves on quick casual dining (like hanging out at a friend’s house) where you’re always welcome to stay and just hang out. Our friends and family atmosphere is great for kids too so bring them along!
